Kanakadea Creek Cleanup

In the fall of 2003, the Environmental Studies Dept. and the Forest People (AU's outdoors club) co-sponsored a Kanakadea Creek cleanup day. The Kanakadea runs through the AU campus on its way toward Hornell. Community members and students worked together to walk several miles of the creek and haul out trash. Click here for pictures.

Composting Project

In 2003, students in the Environmental Studies program stated a composting project to help reduce that amount of waste generated from the dining halls. Currently, Ade dining hall, Powell dining hall, the Collegiate, and the Terra Cotta Coffeehouse are involved in the composting program. The students currently working on the composting project are Erin Letovsky and Chris. Take a closer look!
