Composting Project: Stuck in the Mud!

During the winter, the composting truck is particularly prone to getting stuck in the mud and slush.

This is a photo documentation of the events that unfolded during one of these such times:

 

Chris unknowingly backs the truck into a death-trap for rear wheel drive trucks: a mud and slush-ridden path. Chris and Erin assess the situation. Prognosis: Nope, this baby's not going to budge.

Thankfully, the students working at Alfred State's farm are always ready to help out the composters in need and give them a hand (or a tractor) when other efforts have failed. Without the help of this good samaritain and her tractor, the compost truck would still be stuck in the path.

Attempts at jamming random farm property under the tires for leverage are still unsuccessful at getting the truck out of this sticky situation.
