that will be).
This semester, we will be learning several analytical techniques, including some basic water chemistry, ion chromatography, atomic absorption spectrophotometry, biomonitoring, measurements of water quality parameters in the field, etc. There will be some field work, so if you know we are going into the field on a particular day, dress appropriately.
Grading Policy: Your grade will be based on points that you accumulate on projects and assignments. If you accumulate 90% or greater of the possible points, you will be assured some kind of an A. 80% or greater = some kind of B; 70% or greater= some kind of C; 60% or greater= some kind of D; less than 60% of the possible points will cause you to earn a failing grade.
Assignments: Your instructors will make it very clear to you what you are expected to do for each assignment. Assignments will be announced in class. Proper use of the English language is expected on all assignments; word-processing is also expected. The ENS computer lab is available for your use for assignments in this and other ENS classes.
E-Mail: We will use an e-mail distribution list to contact
